157 Mentally Challenged Students Completed Parvati Climbing Competition

Pune, India (PressExposure) February 18, 2009 -- "We also can...." an hundred and fifty seven mentally challenged students from 14 schools for special students I the city today completed Parvati Climbing competition. It was enjoying and thrilling experience for each participant. Even parents were too happy for the achievement of these students

For the first time such competition was organized by Navkshitij Adventure Club in association with Rotary Club of Pune River Side. Flag off of the Competition made by Shivshahir Babasaheb Purandare. Competition was held in eight different age groups.

Speaking on the occasion. Neelima Desai said that various outdoor events help in minimizing the behavioural problems of mentally hallenged students. Such event also helps in increasing confidence in the minds of parents.

Narayan Mahajan, Dilip Sarda, Sachin Joshi and Prakash Satav presented the awards to the winners of competition. Dr. Neelima Desai was the organizer. Anil Utpat, Suresh Hadke, Santosh Sakpal, Yogesh Polekar, Adv. Sunil Kadam and Sunil Mankar took lead and extra efforts in organizing this competition. More than 60 volunteers along with doctors put efforts to make this event successful
