16th Raindance Film Festival

London, United Kingdom (PressExposure) September 25, 2008 -- Since 1992 Raindance has been offering advice and support for independent fimmakers. We started the Raindance Film Festival in 1993, and the British Independent Film Awards in 1998. We also have a training programme that has had remarkable success. Presently there are nine of us working out of our office in Soho, London. Although we are London-based we are on the look-out for anyone who might like to work with us in another city or country.

In August, 2007, Raindance.tv launched on Joost, with other platforms to follow. Raindance.tv shows the best of independent short, features and documentaries from the Raindance Film Festival. You can find out about submitting your films to Raindance.tv

Since 2000, Raindance has organised screenings, seminar and workshops in USA, Canada, Japan, Denmark, Poland, Scotland, Ireland, Germany and France. If you are interested in bringing an element of Raindance to your area, send us your details

About raindance

Founded 1992: Raindance founded by filmmakers, for filmmakers

Our office is located in the heart of Soho. The closest tube stations are Oxford Circus, Tottenham Court Road or Piccadilly. There are loads of buses that pass nearby, depending where you are coming from. Most people walk down from Oxford Street, and we are on the right hand side, underneath a shop called Textile King. Our door is in a little alleyway called Livonia Street (which isn't on a lot of maps).
