During this event there will be a luncheon recognizing 50 Women of Power in Business from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m, Theme: "Celebrating Global Leadership & Excellance." This event will honor fifty women business leaders who are doing business nationally or internationally; women empowering communities around the world; women shaping our economic future.
Dr. Madeline Ann Lewis, President/CEO of the Deline Institute for Professional Development is a recipient of this award. Dr. Lewis serves with a commitment to family, community and professional development. She believes in strategic partnerships, supporting minority and women-owned businesses and in the delivery of outstanding quality, both personally and professionally. She lends her expertise to different venues within the working women arena and entrepreneurial community and volunteers her time at local schools mentoring programs and non-profit organizations.
Fernando Galaviz, President and CEO, THE CENTECH GROUP, Inc. is keynote speaker during the awards luncheon. Mr. Galaviz is an expert lecturer and advocate for small/minority businesses. He is also the founder and president of the National Federal Contractors Association.
Other confirmed speakers include Secretary of Commerce, John Bryson; David Hinson, National Director, U.S. Department of Commerce, Minority Business Development Agency; and Gloria Parker, CEO and Senior Partner of Parker Group Consulting. Ms. Parker consults with fortune 500 companies on government and business strategies. She served on the Obama-Biden Transition team; served as CTO and CIO of HUD; and Deputy CIO of the U.S. Department of Education.
