I wish the very best of luck to show organisers and expect they will have a very successful event.” Dubai Municipality will be participating in the exhibition and are using this opportunity to communicate to the participants, visitors and the general public about cosmetic and personal care products through a dedicated seminar. The seminar will take place at 11.30am on June 1st. “Our aim is to emphasize on the control as well as procedural issues as well as awareness aspects in relation to personal care and cos-metic products which are part of the consumer products Dubai Muni-cipality is looking after,” said Engineer Redha Salman, Director Public Health and Safety Department, Dubai Municipality. “It is also an opportunity for us to meet different parties and update ourselves with the new developments, research findings, or even lat-est control issues and implementation around the world,” he added. Market forecasts indicate that the beauty and cosmetics industry worldwide is on a high-growth path, with the market for premium cosmetics expected to be worth around AED 314.21 billion (US$ 85.542 billion) by 2014 as compared to AED 289.52 billion (US$ 78.82 billion) in 2009. This year’s edition has registered a 15% increase from UAE companies as well as an incredible 50% increase in companies exhibiting from the US. “The priority people place on taking care of their appearance cannot be over-emphasized in this region.
