A message from Angela Stephens, MPH, LD CEO
I have put my heart and soul into training for this Agency most of my adult life. Even as a teenager, I worked to help agencies like the YMCA mentor adolescent girls while I was an undergraduate student at Hunter College. After completing internships and part time work in the community, I realized that community settings are indeed near and dear to me. There was so much that needed to be done and I wanted to be a part of that growth as it pertained to helping people and meeting the needs of the masses. I worked in community settings in the WIC Programs and developed Adult Education Curriculum in college, as well as taught as Adjunct Faculty. My passion is Public Health and was therefore inspired to obtain my masters degree in that area with a concentration in Health Promotion. All of that along with my gift for Leadership and passion to serve lead me to eventually found Rainbow Preventive Services.
Throughout her distinguished career, Angela Stephens has maintained a consistent commitment to quality health care services, education, and administration. Her continued practice of excellence has been evident in the success of the projects and programs with which she has been affiliated. Her experience and education have uniquely qualified her to lead the management team in the administration of Rainbow Preventive Services. RPS trained and skilled staff are capable of engaging and involving the targeted, at-risk populations for HIV/AIDS home healthcare and education/prevention program services.
