Oakland, California (PressExposure) August 12, 2010 -- PRESS RELEASE - For Immediate Release ALC Open House & Property Tour Fundraiser ALC will host its 1st Annual Open House & Property Tour Fundraiser on Thursday, September 9, 2010. 10:00am to 10:30am, tour 1421 45th Avenue, Oakland 94601 11:00am to 11:30am, tour 1030 101st Avenue, Oakland 94605 12:00noon to 2:00pm, enjoy a complimentary lunch at our corporate office at 220 Fourth Street, Suite 200, Oakland 94607.

This event will help ALC serve many adults’ ages 55 years and older who are homeless, displaced and/or low incomes. ALC is an entity dedicated to providing safe and affordable housing and related services to individuals that would otherwise be living on the streets or relying on already overly-burdened housing shelters.

ALC not only improves the lives of individuals who will then have access to housing, but also decreases the strain on the resources of the community that would otherwise occur. By providing housing to those that would otherwise be unable to afford it, ALC is giving its residents the means to improve their lives. Having a home or permanent shelter improves an individual's ability to obtain a job, help raise his or her grandchildren (if any), and to become an active member of the community.
