ANZ Bows to Pressure

Nedlands, Australia (PressExposure) September 30, 2009 -- The last of the big four banks has fallen into line on penalty fees. ANZ’s overdrawn fees are down from $35 to $6, and, significantly, nothing at all if the overdraw is less than $50. Once again, however, no mention of any plans to compensate customers for what’s gone on for the last six years.

Having campaigned hard about ANZ’s offensive charge of $14 per duplicate statement, it is also nice to see that they are getting rid of this charge altogether. Now our customers can finally afford to obtain their own records.
