Matawan, New Jersey (PressExposure) June 13, 2009 -- iTechArt Group announces the release of Mini Calendar web part for SharePoint. The web part is applicable to MOSS 2007 and WSS 3.0 and was created with a view to overcoming the fault found with out-of-the-box web part â its non-resizability and the resulting cumbersomeness on SharePoint pages.
The creation of this web part came as a natural solution to the inconveniences reported by the company SharePoint users. âI could not imagine a small solution like that can dramatically improve user experience with SharePoint,â says Alena Kruptsevich, a project manager at iTechArt Group.
Shortly after the web partâs successful implementation within the company, it was deemed but appropriate to offer SharePoint Mini Calendar Web to the wider public interested in extending and enhancing SharePoint.
The tool easily fits any SharePoint page, features customizable color schemes and provides a most ergonomic way of visualizing the workload for a particular period. Dates with scheduled tasks are unobtrusively ticked off providing a representation of the workload, with the specific tasks viewable. Mini Calendar pulls data from SharePoint lists and libraries and is supported across browsers.
Apart from SharePoint Mini Calendar, iTechArtâs web part product line includes a set of calendars, such as Project Calendar, Outlook Calendar, Google Embedded Calendar, as well as a number of other SharePoint must-haves (Media Player, Active Directory, Blog and Wiki web parts). Additionally, the companyâs SharePoint team is open for further customization requests.
