A Chocolate For The US

Majority of those are designed specifically for the use of South Korean and European countries. However, LG Electronics have also released several models of LG Chocolate specifically designed for use in the US. These are the LG Chocolate VX models, which are handled and sold by Verison Wireless, the largest wireless telecommunications network in the United States. LG Chocolate VX8500 The original LG Chocolate(KV5900) was released in Korea long before the UK or U.S. version. In England, it was available in three colors which were black, Blue and Yellow. After becoming an extremely unpopular item in South England mobile phone market, it saw its GSM release into the USA, and a modified version was released in Canada.

The US Chocolate is a different phone (VX8500), with a QVGA (320x240) LCD over the KG800's 176x220 LCD. The touch panel on the VX8500 has a slightly different design, with a circular button arrangement bordered with glossy metal, versus the KG800's square arrangement featuring simple arrow designs (a defining part of the ads for the original LG Chocolate) , and a rounded silver rectangle bordering the "OK" button in the center. The A2DP and AVRCP Bluetooth profiles are available on the VX8500, but not on the KG800. The KG800's number pad also features a matte grey and glossy black checkerboard pattern, and the camera has a white LED flash, both of which the VX8500 does not have.

The LG Chocolate (VX8500) has another successor called the LG Chocolate (VX8550) which has: touch buttons with improved accuracy, a scroll wheel, support for 4GB microSD cards, and tactile send and end keys.

LG Chocolate VX8550 The LG Chocolate (also known as the VX8550 or the LG Chocolate Spin) is the upgrade to the popular LG Chocolate (VX8500) music phone for Verizon Wireless in the USA and Telus in Canada. It was released online July 7, 2007 and comes in black, black cherry (red), blue mint (blue), and ice blue (light blue).

The phone possess many enhancements over the original VX8500 Chocolate series such as improved touch controls with vibrational feedback, a navigational wheel, a change in the key layout, an updated music player and has a smoother design.This phone also includes the original 1.3 megapixal camera that came with the VX8500.

Another popular LG cellular phones for sale today under the VX models has been modified not only in with it features, but also its name. This popular LG phone is currently known as the LG Chocolate 3 mobile phones.

LG Chocolate 3 The LG Chocolate 3 (also known as the VX8560 or the upgraded VX8560EX with differences such as a 2mp camera) is the upgrade to the popular LG Chocolate music phone for Verizon Wireless in the USA and Telus in Canada. It was released online July 14, 2008 and comes in black (Dark Blue) and baby blue (light blue). The phone has many enhancements over the original VX8500 Chocolate series such as clam shell (flip) design, an external display, a change in the key layout, an updated music player, a smoother design, and a FM transmitter built-in.
