London, United Kingdom (PressExposure) September 17, 2009 -- It is impossible to put this book down once you pick it up, so make sure that you have a few hours to spend just to enjoy the story of Rodney Mundy.
Rodney Mundy's life story is filled with adventures which are largely due to the job that he ends up falling into. Rodney lives life on the edge and is passionate about the job that he does protecting his country and the people that he loves. Just like the fictional James Bond character, Rodney has an eye for the ladies and them for him. As the story follows Rodney's life and he has children and falls in love there is a softer side to him that becomes evident.
Carlos Mundy has written his fathers story extremely well and the reader is engaged with the book from the opening page, making it extremely difficult to put it down. The book covers a wide range of emotions that are typical for a semi-autobiographical book, however what is different in this book is the sense of love and compassion that Carlos feels towards his father, which has ultimately led to him writing this book on his fathers behalf.
Rodney Mundy is a MI6 agent during the Second World War who was unable to publish his adventures before his death. His son found the papers on which Rodney had wrote parts of his life story and has pieced it together adding his own writing here and there to fill in the gaps.
A hero's novel.
