Aboriginal Awareness - Elearning Program Coming Soon

Millet, Alberta Canada (PressExposure) December 28, 2011 -- Elearning and online training programs are growing in popularity and in availability giving individuals the opportunity to learn and develop in the comfort of their own homes. Sotera Safety currently offers a wide selection of training courses on their website and is pleased to be in the final stages of their own Aboriginal Awareness E-learning Program which will be released across North America in early 2012.

The course gives an overview of cultural understanding, how diversity affects us individually and as a community, as well as an understanding of Canada's historical journey. This introduction to Aboriginal life and history provides the student with an understanding of how Canada's Aboriginal groups came to be and how the past has a very real and influential effect on the present.

Workers and individuals will find this insightful e learning program to be educational and informative. Designed for use by Alberta safety services and as part of learning management systems, the program is expected to increase awareness and understanding of what it means to be Aboriginal, how Canadian Aboriginal peoples have experienced a unique history, and how this history has an impact on life in Canada today.
