Balhannah, Australia (PressExposure) March 10, 2014 -- The Adelaide Hills Country Cottages, popular for bed and breakfast Adelaide Hills accommodation and scenic cottages, were awarded the 2013 GOLD South Australian Tourism Award recently. This award comes in succession of numerous awards won by Adelaide Hills Country Cottages for their excellence in Australian tourism and hospitality.
The South Australian Tourism Awards, which recognise and promote business excellence in tourism are managed by the South Australian Tourism Industry Council (SATIC). The award ceremony is held annually and forms part of the Australian Tourism Awards. This year's awards covered a range of categories, from five star international hotels to bed and breakfasts, events, festivals and wineries. The most outstanding entry in each category was then judged to pronounce a winner. As winners in the GOLD category, Adelaide Hills Country Cottages will now compete in the national Australian Tourism Awards.
With their latest prestigious title, Adelaide Hills Country Cottages have reaffirmed their mark in the hospitality sector for the Adelaide Hills accommodation. Speaking on the occasion were Steve and Mandy Adcock, who said, "It is an honour to be rewarded with this prestigious title as the 'best in the country'. Many aspects of business practice, accommodation standards, hospitality and involvement in the industry are all evaluated through a submission and visitation by judges. Through our willingness to go through this vigorous process of critiquing and improving our business, our guests can be assured that we will provide excellence in all areas of their stay."
The South Australian Tourism Commission also supports the awards, and being in their 31st year is considered a guarantee of the professionalism and quality offered by each winner. All participants were judged upon submission of entry and subsequent site visits. According to Mandy Adcock, "The Adelaide Hills accommodation stood out from competition because of the attention to detail given when meeting the needs of our visitors. Each property is meticulously designed and decorated to give our guests the memorable experience they are looking for."
The Adelaide Hills accommodation, which is spread out over 200 acres of splendid natural beauty and offers a range of five cottages designed for couples and family alike, was also a finalist in the 2012 National Tourism Awards. "We truly value the importance of the success, we at "Adelaide Hills Country Cottages" have experienced in the State and National Tourism Awards," said Steve Adcock.
The company believes that their long standing history of being awarded for excellence, starting from 1998, 2002-2003 and 2003-04 till today will stand as a testimony of their dedication in providing excellence in not just accommodation, but creating valuable memories for the guests who choose Adelaide Hills accommodation to share special moments with their loved ones.
