Aeromexico Installs Apple IPads on Their Boeing B737, B767 and B777 Fleet

Miami, FL (PressExposure) June 03, 2013 -- The FAA issued Certification No. ST04003AT (B767-200/-300), and ST04000AT (B777-200/-300) to Avionics Support Group, Inc. (ASG) for the installation of its US Patented cfMount in support of Aeromexico's Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) program using Apple iPad tablet devices. This is the latest certification to ASG's growing list of cfMount STCs that currently includes: Airbus A319, A320, A321, Boeing B737-600, B737-700, B737-800, B757-100, B757-200, Embraer ERJ-145, E-170, E-190, McDonnell Douglas MD-10, MD-11, and Lockheed Martin L382 (Civilian version of the C130).

Constant Friction Mounts (cfMount) Models:

Standard cfMount - Designed and installed on Boeing Narrow Body, Regional, and Corporate aircraft.
Wedge cfMount - Designed and installed on Airbus Narrow Body aircraft
Slide cfMount - Designed and installed on Wide Body aircraft

Aeromexico chose to replace traditional paper based Flight Bags with a more environmentally friendly electronic format using the Apple iPad as their new Electronic Flight Bag (EFB). For years pilots have been carrying their Flight Bags containing all the necessary documents for a flight. However, with the advent of the Tablet Computer (specifically the iPad) the aviation industry is slowly adopting a more modern electronic platform.

Avionics Support Group (ASG) revolutionized the industry in 2005 by being the first company to receive FAA Certification of its Constant Friction Mount (cfMount) that enabled airlines to safely mount their Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) on an aircraft. Aeromexico chose the cfMounts because of its US Patented Constant Friction design that incorporates the latest Human Factors and Ergonomics into the design to increase flight safety, while reducing a pilot's workload.

Avionics Support Group, Inc. "ASG" is a privately owned Florida Corporation, based in Miami, founded in 1996.
