London, England (PressExposure) October 10, 2014 -- Alexis Dove, one of the UK's award winning designers, who draws her inspiration from the harmonious combination of our incredible natural world, collectable vintage pieces and ancient cultures, is the newest member of the ever popular F&L Designer Guides. Her creations are simply yet exquisite and have awarded her many accolades through her career, including a place on finalist list for the Perfect Wedding Awards 2014 and the Professional Jeweller HOT 100 Trendsetter Award 2012. It is understandable that the team at F&L Designer Guides, the online engagement ring publication, are very excited to have her involved.
Alexis Dove's philosophy reflects that of F&L and there is a strong emphasis on bespoke and hand made. She wants to entice people into her collections and move them with her motifs of roses, animals and shells, beautifully complemented with pearls and other semi-precious stones.
Alexis' career began from a more unconventional stance, with the successful designer originally aspiring to be a farmer. It didn't take long for her to discover her love and talent for jewellery making and after training at Sir John Cass she established her business in 2006. Inspired by her travels and driven by her passion for striking jewellery she has become a big name in jewellery design and one that F&L Designer Guides is proud to have on board.
One of Alexis Dove's most prestigious collections is that of her wedding and engagement rings, all influenced by elements of antiquity that have held their own into today's eclectic jewellery market and have made statement after statement in engagement ring design.
The founder of F&L Designer Guides believes that it is the unique take on diamond beads, the fancy sapphires and antique cuts, such as the Indian rose cut and the Victorian old cut diamonds that set Alexis Dove apart from her contemporaries. L, of F&L, states, "Alexis Dove holds true all that is important to F&L. We love her inimitable pieces made from rich beaten gold, and the timeless creations that encapsulate quirky and high quality. Her jewellery evokes images of century old pharmaceutical cabinets, natural history exhibition pieces and the contents of the pockets of historical explorers. We love this distinctive, rare quality of designing without inhibition and following heart and soul to produce something truly exceptional."
Alexis Dove is available for commissions and you can meet her to discuss your jewellery aspirations and ideas in her boutique in The Needlemakers, Lewes. Here she has her own rather beautiful workshop where you can browse her collections and marvel at the gemstone assortment, personally selected by the designer herself.
