Stanton, CA (PressExposure) October 02, 2011 -- Alternative rock bands like Almost Dawn will be performing at St. Polycarp's annual fiesta October 7, 8 & 9. The event promises an enormous turnout with anticipated crowds in the thousands. The proceeds from the event will go to the church to help fund it's charitable programs as well as help with operational costs.
Volunteers have been working all year to provide a number of fun and exciting activities for children and young adults. This year's 2011 festival boasts a full assortment of carnival rides - including my favorites the Super slide and house of mirrors - games, ethnic foods, beer and all the free music you can take. One of the new additions to the food department will be their delicious funnel cakes. There will be a variety of toppings provided as well.
The church is located on Beach & Lampson at 8100 Chapman Ave, Station CA 90680. Almost Dawn will be performing on Saturday, October 8 at 8:30 pm. The concert is free to guests of all ages.
"It is a pleasure to be playing this year's St Polycarp Fiesta." Said lead guitar player Chris Foerster from Almost Dawn. "It has always been our mission to give back to our fans and the community. St. Polycarp does that that every day through their numerous community outreach programs and spiritual guidance."
The Band plans to play a number of songs from their upcoming album and has arranged for a few featured artists to join them during the performance. As one of the headlining acts for this year's event, Almost Dawn hopes to bring the same energy, enthusiasm and excitement that they have brought in previous years.
