London, United Kingdom (PressExposure) July 28, 2011 -- Leading hotel housekeeping services provider ACT Clean has helped Springboard UK's 21st birthday charity auction raise nearly £150,000 by providing the evening's top auction prize. The prize was a three-course meal for six people cooked in the privacy of the winner's home by Angela Hartnett, one of the most high-profile female chefs in the world. Organized by ACT Clean as part of their support of the event, it ended up going for £11,000. Springboard UK helps young, unemployed and disadvantaged people into careers hospitality and tourism industry.

ACT Clean counts Angela Hartnett's restaurant Murano amongst its prestigious client list and Gillian personally approached Angela to provide the prize.
As part of the event's silent auction, ACT Clean also persuaded Maria Grachvogel to donate a prize of two tickets to see her fashion show at London Fashion Week. Other lots offered at the event included a stay at the newly opened Four Seasons Park Lane, a trip on the Orient Express, a meal at The Dorchester and a week's luxurious holiday at Carlisle Bay in Antigua.
