Bangalore, India (PressExposure) March 09, 2011 -- On its fifth-year anniversary in India, Antenna Software, Inc., enabling business transformation through compelling mobile experiences, today announced its plans to drive further growth in India. As part of the company's expansion strategy, Antenna has set up a new facility in Bangalore to accommodate an aggressive 30-40% increase in headcount year over year to help meet revenue targets. Antenna also added resources to another office in Pune as a result of its recent acquisition of Volantis Systems in February 2011.
As a global player in the mobile applications space, India has always been a strategic focus for Antenna's success. To continue this momentum, Antenna's new centre in Bangalore will help the company to broaden operations and meet increasing customer and partner demand. Antenna currently employs around 120 highly skilled professionals in the Bangalore and Pune offices, including technical project managers, business analysts, architects, technical writers, developers, QA specialists, customer support, and technical support. Antenna is also in the process of adding sales and business development professionals to capitalize on the market potential in Asia-Pac, which many analysts predict will follow a substantial rise in smartphone sales, a large uptick in mobile subscribers in rural India, and the mass appeal of mobile cloud services.
Speaking on the occasion, Reji Baby, V.P. Global Solutions Engineering; MD Antenna India said, "Keeping the employee retention rate high is a true testimony of our employee satisfaction in India. In addition, working with exciting mobile technologies in one of the fast growing industries in the world, a wide career path, significant financial incentives and our fun-filled and open working environment gives our employees numerous opportunities to grow with the company."
A recent winner of the prestigious GSMA Global Mobile Award for Best Mobile Enterprise Solution at Mobile World Congress, Antenna is uniquely positioned to offer customers complete end-to-end mobile solutions, from native apps to mobile web, addressing the needs of all users, across all internet-connected mobile devices - from smartphones and tablets to feature phones. In 2010, Antenna reported a record year, achieving a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 52 percent in revenues. Antenna's recent acquisition of Volantis Systems adds diversity to the company's product portfolio with the addition of mobile web capabilities. It also adds significant India-based customers and partners including system integrators and mobile operators, most of whom have global customers and presence.
Speaking from Bangalore at the dedication of the new facility, Antenna's President and CEO Jim Hemmer said, "To meet the consumers' appetite for mobile applications, Antenna must scale its operations globally and bolster our very successful India presence to help us gain momentum in the Asia-Pac region. We are thrilled to be here this week to celebrate the 5-year anniversary Antenna India and acknowledge its role in our overall success in delivering the most innovative mobile solutions to our customers and partners and look forward to even greater success in the coming year."
