Northville, MI (PressExposure) December 03, 2009 -- Back in the 1980's a circuit board tester came on the market called a Huntron Tracker. Basically, an electronic technician would take a known "Good" printed circuit board and connect it to the tester via a ribbon cable.
While the "Good" board was connected he would then take a "Bad" or suspect PC board and connect it to the tester as well. The Huntron Tracker would then do a test of every component on the "Bad" board, comparing it to the "Good" board. As the Huntron Tracker did the analysis along the electrical path and found a "Bad" component it would then display or print out the specs of that component compared to the specs of the good component.
Performing this procedure on each board helped the repair technician find the truth about which boards were "Bad" and needed scraping or repairing. Most of the time the technician could not tell a "Good" board from a "Defective" board just by looking at it.
Like wise, today it is getting harder to tell a good idea from a bad idea, the truth from a lie, a republican from a democrat, a liberal from a conservative. Unless a person becomes, what I call a "Redletter Truther" (Huntron Tracker) it is near impossible to discern "what is truth".
A Redletter Truther is a person who believes by faith the words of Jesus when he said; "I am the way, the truth, and the life..."(John 14:6), and that "Everyone on the side of truth listens to me."(John 18:37)
My method for finding the truth is to take the words or actions of others and connect them to the Bible. The Bible (Huntron Tracker) is connected to the known "GOOD" or "TRUE" source. I then connect the "suspect" words or actions, power it up with prayer and ask God to reveal the truth as it is compared to what he says in His word: "If you hold to my teaching...then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free." (John 8:32)
I have found that like the Huntron Tracker, comparing the words and actions of others to what Jesus said and did is a tried and tested method of finding out what is "Good" and "True" and is worthy of my trust.
However, without having a known "Good" to compare everything with, most people are just comparing one "Bad" board against another, and will never fix the problems in their life, or find the truth. ARE YOU A RED LETTER TRUTHER?
