Irvine, CA (PressExposure) June 29, 2012 -- Last month The Attivo Group announced the launch of a charitable arm of their organization called Attivo Cares. In conjunction with that announcement, the Attivo Cares program also announced their first charitable partner, The American Wheelchair Mission. Today they are happy to announce a second partner, the Reo Backpack Company.
The Reo Backpack Company's mission is to provide backpacks and school supplies to homeless children through the Los Angeles, CA area. There are approximately 10,000 homeless families in the Los Angeles area, many with school age children. For every new user of any software package sold by The Attivo Group, they will donate one backpack full of school supplies to a needy child.
"To try and understand the hardships that these children face on a daily basis is overwhelming. To know that they are getting up to go to school every morning is inspiring," said Rachel Pradahn, the Attivo Group's marketing director. "To be able to equip these kids with the tools they need to succeed and encourage them to continue going to school is something we couldn't be more proud to get involved with."
The Attivo Cares program is off to a great start and hopes to be able to make a major contribution to the Reo Backpack Company before the school year start back up again in the fall and beyond. They also plan on adding more charitable organizations to their list of partners in the near future.
