Plymouth, MN (PressExposure) June 07, 2013 -- The Molever Law Firm is pleased to announce that Ed Matthews has joined the firm. Thus, The Molever Law Firm becomes one of the few Minnesota estate planning law firms with two Attorney-CPAs.
Ed is a native of Canton, Ohio, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree, cum laude, from Miami University. Ed attended William Mitchell College of Law where he served as Executive Editor of the Law Review and graduated summa cum laude in 2003. He then served as a law clerk to the Minnesota Supreme Court during its 2003-04 Term. Ed previously worked as an attorney for a large Minneapolis law firm before establishing his own estate planning law firm in St. Paul. In both 2009 and 2013, Ed was named a "Rising Star" by Super Lawyers magazine. This award is limited to 2.5% of Minnesota attorneys under the age of 40. Ed has taught law students as an Adjunct Professor at William Mitchell College of Law since 2006.
Jeffrey P. Molever, co-founder of The Molever Law Firm, believes, "Tax issues are often the driving force behind many estate planning goals. An attorney should have a strong background in the various tax laws to provide full estate planning service to clients. The fact that Ed is one of only a few attorneys in Minnesota who is also a currently licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) means that Ed is exceptionally qualified to provide our clients with both legal and tax advice. This is particularly critical when advising clients how to protect their hard-earned retirement accounts and reduce or eliminate estate taxes."
The Molever Law Firm was co-founded in 1996 by Jeffrey P. Molever and Cathy F. Molever. The firm has helped thousands of clients meet their estate planning goals and pass on meaningful legacies to their loved ones. Jeff Molever's tax planning experience as a CPA and as an attorney, coupled with his Masters Degree (LL.M.) in Taxation, helps him provide clients with valuable expertise in planning for their future.
The Molever Law Firm is the only Twin Cities law firm belonging to the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys, the premier national educational organization that promotes excellence in estate planning. Molever has been honored with the the Academy "Fellow" designation since 2008 and has served two terms on the Academy's Board of Governors.
