The Select Committee is chaired by California state senator Lou Correa of the 34th. District. The award includes a certificate of recognition from the State of California Senate, for employers providing exceptional employment opportunities for person with autism and other related disorders.

The Senate Select Committee on Autism is made of up of leading professionals, parents, and persons with disabilities in California. The committee's work includes making recommendations to California for the improvement of services and employment of persons with autism and related disorders. Guaranteed Property Inspections was recognized for it's employment of persons with autism as part of it's marketing efforts directed at Real Estate Agents in Orange County California.

Persons with autism have been hired to deliver and set up advertising displays for the company at local real estate offices. For most of these employees with disabilities, this has been their first opportunity to engage in a paid job in the community.
