Hobart, Washington (PressExposure) September 30, 2009 -- Snowboarding Zone has just released a new section of their website that has all of the basics on Avoiding Snowboard Injuries. This is part of a new community website that is all about Avoiding Snowboard Injuries. Members and non-members can visit this Avoiding Snowboard Injuries page on the Snowboarding Zone website for free at: http://snowboardingzone.org/.
Here is an excerpt from the new Avoiding Snowboard Injuries information webpage:
"First of all, as with any other dangerous sport, make sure that you always wear a helmet. It doesnât matter what type of snowboarding you do, a helmet can be your best form of protection in case of a wipe out. Head injuries are always serious and you can help to minimize your chances of a head injury if you wear your helmet. If you are planning to do stunts and tricks that involve air, you will want to wear a full face helmet. You can help to minimize your chances of facial fractures, cuts, etc by wearing the proper protective gear.
Another important safety feature in the sport of snowboarding is that of your snowboard bindings. Thatâs right. If your bindings are not a proper fit to your boots or board if could result in involuntary foot movement which in turn can cause you to wipe out. Make sure that your bindings properly fit your boots and board.
Yet, another important feature is for you to wear a snowboard leash. This will help to keep your snowboard with you in case of an accident."
