Jacksonville, Florida (PressExposure) August 09, 2013 -- B3 Solutions, LLC, a provider of customer-focused solutions that enable government organizations to optimize their performance, announced today the company's growth and achievements have been recognized in the Jacksonville Business Journal's first annual Veteran-Owned list. The company's 2012 revenues positioned B3 Solutions as #2 on the Journal's list of Jacksonville based veteran-owned companies.
B3 Solutions was founded in July 2003 to help organizations enhance operational performance through the application of best practices, optimized acquisition and program management activities, and integrated technical and management support solutions.
"We are proud to be one of the Jacksonville's most successful veteran-owned companies," said Bud Almas, founder and CEO of B3 Solutions. He added, "We are also committed to giving back to both the community and to veterans who have borne the battle and sacrificed so much."
As a retired Army Officer, Bud Almas is devoted to making a positive difference in the lives of those who have served the nation. In 2011, with revenues of $22 Million, B3 Solutions had 19 veteran employees. In 2012, with revenues of $32 Million, B3 Solutions increased the number of veteran employees to 59. Today, 35% of all B3 Solutions employees are veterans.
In January 2013, Almas also started the B3 Solutions' Veterans Outreach Program to engage other companies, organizations, and institutions to help our veterans. This past June, in recognition of his work on behalf of veterans, Bud Almas was recognized with the first annual Gordon H. Mansfield Veterans Small Business Award by the National Veteran Small Business Coalition (NVSBC).
"The NVSBC wanted to honor the memory of a true American Hero," said Scott F. Denniston, Executive Director of NVSBC, "by recognizing a consummate veteran business owner and an advocate. Three selection criteria are used to select the recipient of the Gordon H. Mansfield award: successful business ownership by a veteran; provision of employment opportunities for veterans; and someone with a sustained track record of giving back to the veteran community. Bud Almas exemplifies these traits."
In addition, B3 Solutions supports the following veteran organizations: Hope for the Warriors, Operation Jump Start, Homes for Our Troops, Puppies Behind Bars, The Pathway House, Wounded Warrior Project, Vetforce Foundation, National Guard Officers Association of Florida, and the American Legion Department of Florida, among others.
