Tampa, FL (PressExposure) June 23, 2008 -- Bastion Home & Business Services is pleased to announce the launch of ReadyTampa.org, a public service website brought to you in concert with the Consortium of Florida Inventory Professionals. As part of Bastion's participation in the 5th Annual National Preparedness Month (NPM) sponsored by the Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) Ready Campaign, the website encourages Americans to take simple steps to prepare including: Get a Kit; Make a Plan; Be Informed, as well as provides links to local emergency preparedness resources for the Tampa Bay Area.
Derek Lee, President of Bastion, commented, "We are very excited about this opportunity to contribute to the overall preparedness of our fellow citizens in the Tampa Bay Area. One of Bastion's primary missions is education and being a coalition member of DHS's NPM provides the perfect platform for reaching as many people as possible."
ReadyTampa.org is the latest of a series of activities that Bastion has undertaken to help our communities to be more prepared. In early May, Bastion Client Service Representatives participated in several expos and community events to distribute their free "Hurricane Health Checks," which are comprised of nine questions addressing the various components of preparedness, aimed at raising awareness as well as highlighting those areas that need further consideration as we head into the 2008 hurricane season.
