Formed in order to specialise in the healing of animals, Asentia now offers opportunity to become a professional in animal healing through getting accredited training course in animal healing. Asentia is launching a part time BTEC Professional Diploma in Animal Healing in partnership with Plumpton College, East Sussex. This is the first accredited course of its kind in the UK, paving the way for academically recognised complementary therapy for animals.
Asentia works in three specific areas. First, it offers healing to private clients, rescue centres and other animal establishments such as farms, zoos and equestrian centres. Next, it specialises in resolving dog problem behaviors using natural training methods alongside animal healing, and takes a holistic approach to horsemanship for both horse and rider offering riding lessons, livery and rehabilitation. Thirdly, it offers a variety of introductory workshops and healing courses to teach people about healing animals. Specific days are kept to focus on aspects of horsemanship and dog behavior, and more recently the College has set up a fully accredited diploma course for those wishing to work professionally in this field. This animal healing diploma include a combination of lectures, practical sessions, site visits and guest speakers, with the main focus on practical animal healing and building up of case studies, throughout the course.
One can become qualified in animal healing through joining this BTEC diploma. In this, the assessment will be through a number of written assignments and practical healing tests. A portfolio of healing evidence will be built up throughout the 18 months which will consist of photographs, records, statements etc.
