The Nikzad family owns Nikzad Imports, a Los Angeles manufacturer specializing in bamboo floors for over thirty years. Being the owner of an exclusive "boutique" style hardwood floor installation company, David is considered one of a few hardwood flooring experts working in the field today and is well respected by both his clients and industry peers. David is known for his entrepreneurial spirit and in depth understanding of the marketplace. Often however, those outside the financial means of the high net-worth consumer were not in the market to afford these products.
Floors by David are the nationwide material sales arm of Nikzad Design. It is the marketing, e commerce and distribution channel created by David and San Francisco based business development team of Brian Lillquist and Erik Lillquist. "David explained to us that he wanted to bring his high-end products to a broader audience by making them more affordable", Erik explains. "Our marketing research indicated the sales of hardwood flooring products, in the online marketplace alone, has quadrupled to over a billion dollars annually in the last 4 years, so we were anxious to get our products to consumers".
