Florence, KY (PressExposure) May 04, 2008 -- BlueStar, the leading innovator in solutions-based distribution for Auto ID, Point-of-Sale, RFID, and Mobility products, is proud to announce the recent addition of Bill Nix to the BlueStar team.
Nix will hold the title of BlueStar Director of Global Channel Marketing & Sales and will lead BlueStar's international business development, including bringing more vendors' products into BlueStar for distribution as well as developing an international marketing and sales presence.
"I am fortunate to have experience in both distribution and manufacturing. I look forward to bringing that level of experience to BlueStar, working closely with both our suppliers and customers to expand theirs and BlueStar's growth and reach," says Nix.
Nix comes to BlueStar with 12 years of experience in the AIDC industry. He most recently held the position of Chief Operating Officer of TSC where he coordinated operations between the company's factories based in China and Taiwan, and established an international sales organization in North and South America as well as Europe.
Prior to working for TSC, Nix held the position of Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales for six years at Datamax where he managed over 70 employees in four offices, including the U.S., Asia, and Europe. Also while at Datamax, Nix initiated a "hunter" sales strategy that increased sales by double digits over three years and negotiated sales contracts by channel in over 90 countries.
