Austin, TX (PressExposure) March 21, 2012 -- Musicians in the US spend too much time on their computers trying to book shows. A typical attempt for a band to book a show goes something like this: band sends emails to 10-15 venues looking to book a show, about 13 of those venues never reply to the band, 1 of them says that date isn't available, and if they're lucky, 1 of those venues may give the band a time-slot. Book My Band Android application is looking to help bands streamline this process. The app enables bands to send a template email to multiple venues for the date that they are looking to play. This, in essence, gives time back to the musician to do what they do best: Write music!
Book My Band features a database of every live music venue in the United States. The user is fist asked to edit a template email. They have the option to save their email as a template. This way, they don't have to re-edit the standard booking email every time they want to book a show. Then they search the country by city, state or zip. According to their search criteria, the app pulls up every venue in the area. Then the user can browse and select as many venues as they'd like their email sent. Voila! the app takes control, acting as a booking agent, it sends out emails to every checked venue. While hard at work, the app auto-fills the booker's name and the venue's name into the template email.
Book My Band developed this cell phone app to give more time back to the musician. Another great feature gives the user access to the venue's website, phone number and address. This way, if they are on the run and need to check their online listing, send off posters, contact the booking agent or venue, they can just make a few clicks and have access to all of that information as well.
