Santa Monica, California (PressExposure) June 10, 2008 -- It started out innocently enough as a monthly multi-band music venue, but may have opened the doors to a sinful party vortex. Named after Thirty Round Clipâs drummer, Boom, aka Rick Steel, the bashes were created to provide a regular venue for local musicians and fans alike to enjoy a night of music and fun. What has transpired is a combination of Spinal Tap meets Reaper.
Boom Bash One, mild enough, was met with Santa Monicaâs finest called out on a sound ordinance violation. Boom Bash Two was a rock opera bacchanal complete with band members rumbling in the parking lot, drunks grabbing the microphone from bands performing on stage, and a pagan love-fest in the bar that as publicist for the Boom Bash, Cloven Goddess reports was so wild âI almost came home with a new wife and girlfriend! My husband was greatly amused.â
Music and shenanigans seems to be the agenda of these events and Boom Bash Three is promising to be even more decadent than the last. The party starts Friday, June 6th at 14 Below. Doors open 8 p.m. In the bar TK will be spinning all your favorites from rock to hip hop, featuring MC Fletch, DJ Sol, DJ Funky Monkey, & DJ Monkieteri. On stage the night opens with Bay Area band Bullets and Halos, Santa Monicaâs Thirty Round Clip, Beer Bong featuring Sheena Metal, and closing with Kill The Sound. If your hooves are cloven, it will be night to remember.
