Brooklyn, NY (PressExposure) July 28, 2014 -- Actor/Singer/Songwriter Brandon Jones offers a raw, personal look into his world with his debut EP on Urban Creek Records, Shot of Bourbon. This 5 track offering has dashes of rock, soul, and rhythm and blues with Jones writing and playing guitar on each. The title track off of this EP showcases Jones's ability to make raw, powerful and sexy blues with crossover appeal. To achieve this, Jones has decided to think outside the box. The new video for his latest single Write You A Love Song was shot using a Samsung Galaxy s5 and will premiere Tuesday July 29 at 8 PM EST via YouTube.
"I just wanted to do something different and show people that you can make a great music video that can stand toe to toe with big budget videos without spending tons of money. It can be just as creative and effective without all of the fancy cameras and expensive editing equipment."
The song was written by Jones along with Urban Creek Records label mate and hip hop artist REAL Tha Poet who says, "Indies are always pushing the envelope and doing something new. This is another step in that direction that can hopefully start a movement."
The song is produced by J-Ideas (Devine Carama, Charlie Patton's War), while Jones directs and stars alongside his longtime girlfriend Nicole Palma who was behind the camera for 90 percent of the shoot.
Jones has been wowing audiences at NYC's Klimat Lounge, Brooklyn's Freddy's Bar and open mics in Brooklyn and Queens being featured in the upcoming feature film Astoria Stand Up singing his unreleased song "Sophisticated Love".
The EP was released on Urban Creek Records January 6 and is gaining momentum listed at #63 on the blues charts in iTunes.
Jones will be showcasing material from the EP August 7th at New York's Klimat Lounge as one of the contestants in The Set NYC Presents Battle of the Musicians.
