Brian Van Norman Serving as Publicity Chair of the Toast Articulon Sponsors A Toast to the Triangle for Sixth Consecutive Year

RALEIGH, N.C. (March 4, 2010)―Articulon (www.articulon.com), a Raleigh-based branding and public relations firm, announces Brian Van Norman as the publicity chair of the 2010 A Toast to the Triangle™ (www.atoasttothetriangle.org). Articulon is also sponsoring the event for a sixth consecutive year.

Van Norman leads a team of five area volunteers in raising awareness and visibility for the event. He has served on the committee since 2008.

Van Norman dedicates his leadership to a number of nonprofit organizations. Most recently, he was appointed to the board of directors for The Chamber Orchestra of the Triangle. He has also conducted media relations and event management for the inaugural Capital Quilters Guild quilt auction.

"It's an honor to serve as the publicity chair for this year's Toast," says Van Norman. "I look forward to a great 25th anniversary celebration and building upon the success from recent years."

A Toast to the Triangle is the signature fundraising event for Tammy Lynn Memorial Foundation, Inc., which in turn supports the programs and services offered by Tammy Lynn Center for Developmental Disabilities. The event takes place on Sunday, March 7, 2010 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at North Carolina State University's McKimmon Center.

The Toast offers guests samples from nearly 40 of the Triangle's finest restaurants, caterers and purveyors of fine wines and specialty beers. Participants have the opportunity to bid on an array of donated items during the event's silent auction. Restaurants also compete in a spirited, yet friendly, competition for one of six "Best in Show" food category awards.

About A Toast to the Triangle:
A Toast to the Triangle was first held on April 6, 1986, at Carolina Place. Approximately $6,000 was raised to build residential facilities at Tammy Lynn Center. Since then, the event has been held annually to raise funds for Tammy Lynn Memorial Foundation, Inc., which in turn supports the following programs and services of Tammy Lynn Center for Developmental Disabilities: Community Residential, Early Childhood Intervention, Respite Care, and non-Medicaid Day Services.
