Broadax Systems, Inc. Introduces Three of Its Newest Embedded Systems, TANK-820-H61 and TANK-600-D250V/N2600

City Of Industry, California (PressExposure) July 24, 2013 -- The TANK-820-H61 is well suited to be used in the transportation industry. It is designed with functions and protections that are essential to be used in that particular industry. Its rugged design allows for the unit to be used in a harsh environment, resist strong vibrations and still perform reliably. One of the features that allow the TANK-820-H61 to perform reliably and with minimum downtime is hot-swappable fan module. This fan module ensures that the unit operates reliably in circumstances when high temperature is a concern.

The TANK-820-H61 supports 2nd generation Intel Core Low-Power Desktop Processors and comes with 1GB DDR3 on-board memory that can be expanded to a maximum of 10GB thanks to the added DDR3 SO-DIMM slot. What sets the TANK-820-H61 apart from many other embedded systems is the ability of accepting 3 expansion cards. This gives you the option to easily customize your hardware depending on your project needs. The TANK-820-H61 accepts various DC power inputs ranging through 9~24V DC or can also be used with the available 19V power adapter.

As for its interface, TANK-820-H61 has four USB 2.0 and two USB 3.0 ports. There are also four RS-232 (DB9) along with two RS-422/485 (RJ-45) communication ports available. The dual gigabit Ethernet ports are standard as well as Hard Drives ranging from 320GB to 512GB Solid State Drives. The TANK-820-H61 has VGA and DVI ports incorporated in the rear along with audio.

As for the TANK-600-D2550V and the TANK-600-N2600, they are very similar to each other. Both units are fan-less embedded systems, which can have up to 16 COM Ports. The COM Ports are made up of six RS-232, two RS-232/422/482 and eight optional RS-232. This configuration makes it ideal for network or automation applications. Six USB 2.0 ports give you plenty of ports to connected USB peripherals. Dual PCIe GbE LAN is standard to suite your network applications.

Both the TANK-600-D2550V and the TANK-600-N2600 use Intel's NM100 Chipset and come with 320GB SATA Hard Drives, which are upgradeable for an increase in storage. Both also have Built-in Video as well as Audio. Powering the units can be done by 9~36VDC or the 65W 90~264VAC power adapter.

The difference between TANK-600-D2550V and TANK-600-N2600 is that TANK-600-D2550V supports Intel Atom Dual Core D2550 1.86GHz Processor while TANK-600-N2600 supports Intel Atom Dual Core N2600 1.6GHz Processor. TANK-600-D2550V comes with built-in 4GB DDR3 on-board Memory while TANK-600-N2600 comes with Built-in 2GB DDR3 on-board Memory.
