Businesses Adopt New Amazon Cloud on First Day of Operation

Teddington, Australia (PressExposure) November 15, 2012 -- eCoachManager, developed by PPCnSEO, is an all in one, booking, website and business management tool tailored to simplify the running of any bus charter, bus trips or self drive company. Originally developed for the UK market, it has recently expanded its operations into Australia with a new version adapted for local businesses. Interest so far has been strong with five companies already committing to eCoachManager in less than one month.

When eCoachManager was first launched into Australia in October, the system was hosted within the Amazon AWS (Amazon Web Services) cloud hosting service in Singapore. At that time Amazon were yet to launch their full cloud services in Australia, with just a single edge location offering limited services. Amazon were chosen due to their proven, reliable and flexible infrastructure and Singapore was picked as the location for its proximity and direct high speed fibre links.

On the 12th November, Amazon announced the launch of a new region in Sydney, their 9th worldwide and the 3rd in the Asia-Pacific region alongside Singapore and Tokyo. This new region brings faster response times and lower latency to AWS customers throughout Australia. The wide range of web services available includes hosting, storage, databases, DNS, CDN and auto scaling, all on tried and tested infrastructures and at highly competitive prices. Certainly, a positive note for Australian businesses and consumers alike.

As soon as news of the additional region was officially announced, the engineers at PPCnSEO jumped straight to work in determining how best to make the move from Singapore to Sydney. Initial thoughts of a 7 day transition were quickly dispelled and within 24 hours eCoachManager was fully transitioned to the new Sydney data centers.

Mark Walker, CTO of PPCnSEO explains "All of our systems were built and tested in Singapore yet we managed to migrate them to Sydney quickly, efficiently and most importantly reliably without any issues. Without a flexible, reliable and consistent platform across multiple regions, this would not have been feasible. This is a true testament to the quality of services at AWS and gives us great confidence that our decision on hosting providers was the right one."

eCoachManager has always prided itself in breaking new ground in the transport industry, bringing an affordable web based system to both small and large companies, as well as a unique job sharing system. Launching into the Amazon Sydney cloud within 24 hours of its release makes PPCnSEO one of the very first adopters of the new service. In September PPCnSEO were recognised for their work on eCoachManager, winning the prestigious Red Herring Asia top 100 award. These latest developments continue to show the innovation that places them amongst the biggest players in their field.
