Buy Local Currituck Announces the Prizes for the 1st Quarter Buy Local Contest!

Currituck, NC (PressExposure) March 22, 2013 -- We hope you have taken our advice and started buying local! But if not, we've got yet another fantastic reason why you should start. Whenever you shop or dine at any local Currituck business, save your receipts and be entered into our quarterly contest! This 1st quarter contest will run from January 1st to March 31st so if you have any old receipts from this year, those count too. For every five receipts you save up, you'll be entered into a contest to win a prize package with gifts from our awesome Currituck County Businesses.. After you have your receipts, drop them off at any specified location, such as any Currituck County Public library or the Currituck County Welcome Center in Moyock. There are several other convenient locations to choose from as well. Also, keep in mind that there must be a minimum of $3 per receipt and other rules may applyso check out our website for more information and a list of drop-off locations.

We have another fun option as well: Instead of receipts, you can also send five photos of yourself taken at local Currituck County Businesses, much like the photo above. Pictured is of one of the happy winners of last quarter's Buy Local Currituck Contest, Bob Williams, as he uses his $50 gift certificate at Griggs Lumber. We'd also like to congratulate our first prize winner Julie Folwick, whose prize package totaled $1,334, second prize winner Linda Rowe who received a prize package worth $674, and third prize winner Debra Williams with a $253 prize package.
