"By George" premieres May 6 at TIFF Bell Lightbox Theatre in Toronto

Toronto, Ontario Canada (PressExposure) April 24, 2012 -- Fanwackwick Productions and Ronin Entertainment are proud to announce the premiere of BY GEORGE at the TIFF Bell Lightbox Theatre in Toronto, May 6th. Updated details about ticket availability and screening times will be made available at http://torontofilmchallenge.com/

Ron Sparks (Video on Trial, NBC's The Firm, This Hour Has 22 Minutes) is a man driven to the brink of insanity by his belief that his neighbour, Scott McCrickard (Comedy Inc., The Holmes Show, Don't Lick the Pig!), is STAR WARS creator George Lucas.

The comedy also stars Jamie Sampson (Roachfar, 11:43) as the wife who doesn't believe, and Kevin MacDonald (The Trial, Flu, The Invasion Report) as Elton John, with Rebecca Gibson as Princess Layla, Rachel Grasby as Nomi, Stella Hunt as Sharon Osbourne and Charlene C. Hurbst as Stass Amy.

MacDonald and Sparks also write and direct. The film is executive produced by Carolyn Bennett (The Care Bears, The Test, Queer as Folk) and Winston Spear (NBC's Last Comic Standing, Comedy Inc., Comedy NOW), with MacDonald, McCrickard and Sparks also serving as producers.

Last year the same production team premiered their first film "The Trial" (aka "The Test") at the TIFF Bell Lightbox Theatre as part of the Toronto Film Challenge 24 Hour Film Festival and won the audience choice award. Ron Sparks and Scott McCrickard also starred in that film, along with Comedy Inc and NBC's Last Comic Standing cast member Winston Spear.

In just the past year Fanwackwick Productions has produced a number of independend shorts as well as web clips and series, including Flu, A Safety Video, iMobiles, Christmas with Elton and Wink and The Newsdesk with Ron Sparks. They also serve as writers and cast members on the web series "The Invasion Report".
