Werl, Albama (PressExposure) January 05, 2012 -- Today at the 2012 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, C2Call, the pioneer for Java-based VoIP calls via the browser, announced the addition of Group Video Calling to its FriendCaller Pro mobile calling app for Apple iOS devices including the iPhone®, iPod touch®, and iPad. With this announcement, FriendCaller Pro becomes the world's first full-featured mobile calling app to support live, six-way group video calls for free.
"We are pleased to lead the industry in adding support for live, six-way video calls to our FriendCaller Pro mobile calling app," said Martin Feuerhahn, CEO of FriendCaller developer C2Call GmbH. "Group Video Calling with FriendCaller Pro goes above and beyond what is available with other mobile calling apps. Not only does the app support up to six participants in a live, free video call, it also allows participants to view each other simultaneously during the video chat, instead of having to toggle between users like other video calling apps. Additionally, with Group Video Calling on FriendCaller Pro, users can add up to six more participants for free to the same call for voice calling only, ultimately making it possible to host a group conference call with up to 12 participants."
C2Call will be demonstrating FriendCaller Pro's Group Video Calling at the 2012 Consumer Electronics Show being held here this week. FriendCaller Group Video Calling will soon be available for FriendCaller Pro for Apple iOS platforms including iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. Group Video Calling is also expected to be available for the FriendCaller app for Android-based smart phones and tablets, and the FriendCaller WebPhone during Q1'12.
FriendCaller leverages a unique cross-platform, cloud-hosted technology to provide users a number of innovative features that in addition to Group Video Calling include Text Messaging (SMS), Browser-based WebPhone, Caller-ID, unique CallMe-Links and video calling.
C2Call is the first company to offer free video and VoIP phone calls to anyone, without the need to download software or register. C2Call's FriendCaller is the first and only WebPhone solution that lets anyone make a free call by clicking a link sent via email, IM, social networks, blog or website. C2Call was founded in 2008 by CEO Martin Feuerhahn and CTO Michael Knecht. Investors in C2Call include Bill Draper, an early Skype investor.
