New Delhi, India (PressExposure) January 12, 2010 -- CSC (NYSE: CSC) announced today that the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) presented the company two contractor of the year awards at NASA's small business symposium and awards ceremony on Nov. 17, 2009. These awards recognize NASA employees' and industry representatives' outstanding contributions in support of the agency's small business program. Honorees were recognized for successful and innovative practices that promote small business participation in the initiatives that NASA undertakes.
CSC received two "Large Business Prime Contractor of the Year" awards for information technology services contracts at both the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory and the NASA John C. Stennis Space Center. Selection criteria for the large business prime contractor category includes: performing well on all NASA contracts; demonstrating overall sound small business programs; meeting or exceeding small business requirements; using small business contractors to perform some technical tasks required by the contract during contract execution; and sponsoring and participating in outreach activities.
