London, United Kingdom (PressExposure) February 24, 2009 -- A film about an actor`s love for cars and racing is set to be carbon neutral, it has been reported. The Whyte House Productions comedy Love the Beast charts Eric Bana`s obsession with cars and is due to be released next month. The Hulk and Munich star has loved cars since he got the keys to his first one - a 1973 Ford Falcon coupe labelled `the Beast`. Producer Peter Hill explained that the filmmakers wanted to achieve a balance in their message. `In making a film about the love of motorsport and cars we were mindful of the environmental message we were sending,` he said. `We love cars but love the planet more, and wanted to ensure we made a film in the most environmentally friendly way possible.`Offsetting the carbon emissions is one of the steps we took to minimise the impact on the environment. `The film is the first to be directed by Bana and features much-loved UK petrolhead Jeremy Clarkson, among others.Clarkson recently courted controversy by calling Gordon Brown a `one-eyed Scot` in an Australian interview.
