Dallas, TX (PressExposure) October 28, 2013 -- Renowned discount gold dealer Certified Gold Exchange has revamped the home page of its flagship web site, and a spokesperson for the company says that feedback on the new design has been overwhelmingly positive.
"Rather than designing our web site based on what Google wants we tried to give our users, gold investors, what they wanted," said CGE VP of Internet Marketing Janet Jones. The result is that not only do end users find our site easier to navigate and use. The fact that Google will now see us in a more favorable light since we are using many of the search engine's best practices is simply the cherry on top."
Google has come under fire recently due to some web sites' complaints that Google promotes companies that feature paid Google ads over more relevant, ad-free sites, but Jones believes that is simply the nature of the beast.
"The Internet is changing rapidly and the way investors get their information is changing, too," said Jones. "As company leaders it is our duty to keep up with the changing needs of the gold market, not only in pricing and product selection but also in the way we get information to investors. We don't control Google or dictate their business model so we like to focus on things that we can change. As the old saying goes, 'if you can't beat em, join em.'"
The new Certified Gold Exchange home page loads faster due to the removal of excess images and widgets, and the company's high-quality home page content is now featured in the top half of the screen instead of being relegated to the lower half of the page. Jones says the company is always looking for ways to improve its online presence and questions, comments, complaints and suggestions can be made using the "Open An Account" link in the top-right corner of the site.
