Bangkok, Thailand (PressExposure) September 30, 2009 -- /1888PressRelease/ Chateau de Bangkok, a Bangkok business hotel in the central Sukhumvit district, has recently been seeing better than expected numbers of advance bookings. The figures support recent media reports that the Bangkok hotel industry is now on an upswing.
Chateau de Bangkok's General Manager says that "For this time of year, the phone has been ringing off the hook, and online bookings have been especially strong".
"We are even starting to see people booking for the Christmas holiday period, which is unusual but very welcome!", He continued.
The Nation recently reported on the return of the advance booking as one of the strongest signs that the Thai tourism and Bangkok hotel industry is again building momentum Prakit Chinamourphong, president of the Thai Hotels Association, said at a recent ASEAN hospitality conference that occupancy rates were expected to rise to 70% across the board.
Mrs. Somrudee Nooner, Director of Sales and Marketing at Chateau de Bangkok, believes the boutique Bangkok hotel will individually better that average. "We've seen such great feedback from guests in-house and on Tripadvisor. We have climbed around 7% in guest satisfaction assessments compared to 500 other hotels in Bangkok, and have strong advance bookings", Mrs. Nooner said.
Jones Lang LaSalle also recently reported on the new positives in the Bangkok hotel industry, saying that "average room rates decline appear to have eased when compared to the 20% and larger decreases being witnessed in Hong Kong, Singapore, Beijing and Shanghai".
