Calgary, Alberta Canada (PressExposure) January 30, 2012 -- Chinook Landscaping Calgary has been nominated for the 2011 Business Ethics Award. David Abbott, the owner, says he is honoured to have been nominated by several of his customers for this award. "A good standing in the community and to have the trust from our customers is the most important thing to us" says Abbott. "Landscaping in Calgary can be a challenge and we really strive to make our customers comfortable with the process" "We also don't request deposits or progress payments of any kind so our customers know their risk is minimal" Abbott says the fact they are one of the few landscaping companies in Calgary who don't ask for payments before the work is done, has really increased business for the company.
"We are getting a lot of referrals from our customers around their offices and around their blocks" The company also makes a point of not taking on too much work, so they can spend the required time on each landscaping job without rushing to get to the next one. " We really try not overdo it when it comes to booking. We plan to install a set number of jobs for a season and we stick with that number" says Abbott. Chinook landscaping and design concentrate their scope of work mainly in residential homes. They install paving stone patios, paving stone pathways, trees and shrubs and retaining walls.
The company has also started creating outdoor kitchens for their customers. According to Abbott the outdoor kitchens are the fastest growing area of the landscaping industry in Caglary. "Yes, outdoor kitchens are all the rage right now. Home owners are wanting to spend far more time outside and a outdoor kitchen is a great way to do that" Chinook Landscaping and design has a A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau in Calgary.
