Chism to Headline MMA Event

Valdosta, GA (PressExposure) September 30, 2010 -- Brett Chism is set to headline the Winter Heat Mixed Martial Arts Event in Valdosta, Georgia, on January 29, 2010. Chism, who is also known by the cage name of "Bedtime," currently has a record of 15-10. Most of his wins have come by way of knockout or technical knockout.

Chism is six feet - two inches tall and fights in the professional middleweight division. He currently holds the Heat Event Professional Title Belts in both the Middleweight and Light Heavyweight Divisions. He also hold the Atlanta, Georgia, based Wild Bill's Middleweight Professional Tournament Title belt.

Heat Events are held twice annually in Valdosta, Georgia. These Events feature regional athletes from southern Georgia and northern Florida. Amateurs and professionals compete in these events. Several notable athletes have begun their careers in Heat Events. One such professional is Jonathan Wiezorek. Wiezorek began his career there in Valdosta, Georgia. He went on to win the first ever live MMA match on premium cable TV - Showtime.
