M&A Firm conducts educational seminar to help CPAs better serve their clients with Mergers and Acquisitions issues.
NEW YORK - Consistent with their mission to help business owners, entrepreneurs, and their professional advisors achieve maximum success when buying or selling a business, the managing partners of NYBB/Reliance Strategies, Anthony Citrolo and Tony Calvacca recently presented the educational seminar called "Closing the Deal" to a large group of CPAs at the NYSSCPA Suffolk Chapter's Annual Tax conference.
This seminar has been in great demand by professional advisors with the seminar having been conducted twice prior to this event-once for the Nassau County Bar Association and once for the National Conference of CPA Practitioners. This course qualifies for CLE and CPE credits.
The seminar covered many traditional financial topics that are part of any transaction but also covered many aspects of Mergers and Acquisitions that typically fall outside of the CPA's realm. Such topics covered in this seminar included due diligence, financing channels, dealing with private equity groups, analysis of letters of intent and offers to purchase, understanding the importance of non-compete agreements, identifying non-financial value drivers and gaining a much deeper understanding of the negotiation process involved in M&A deals.
According to Anthony Citrolo, "Our goal in conducting this particular seminar, 'Closing the Deal' is to help front-line financial advisors, including CPAs, attorneys, and financial planners better serve their clients by arming them with practical information that they can use to advance a transaction in the best interest of their client." Mr. Citrolo also added that "since the CPA is a key trusted advisor to most business owners and entrepreneurs, they are often among the first to learn about transactions that their clients may be contemplating, and as such are in a great position to offer valuable guidance and assistance."
Mr. Citrolo and Mr. Calvacca are Managing Partners and principal advisors of NYBB/Reliance Strategies, a full-service M&A firm, providing confidential Mergers and Acquisitions, and valuation services to mid-sized businesses. The company's web site is www.nybbinc.com.
