All scanned images never leave your computer and available only to the person who does scan operation. It does not upload anything anywhere and can be used without internet access.
The application consists of two parts:
- SharedScanner that can be installed on all editions of Microsoft Windows operation systems: Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP, Windows 2008 Server 32- and 64- bit.
- CloudScan client that works either on Microsoft Windows or Apple Mac OS using favorite web browser and without any other installations.
Once you installed small plugin (SharedScanner) on a computer where scanner is connected you are ready to scan from any place. Any popular browser can be used: Google Chrome, Apple Safari, Microsoft Internet Explorer, and Mozilla Firefox.
If one-click functionality is not enough CloudScan can provide full control over scan process. It allows changing color mode, resolution, page size and do scan either from flat bed or document feeder if scanner supports this.
With CloudScan you can save documents to multipage PDF or TIFF or upload directly into your Google Docs account with one click.
