About 'My City' - The Show:
A city means different things to different people. Our perception of a city is not constant but ever changing. In this show, six artists interpret the concept of a city through different vantage points, and explore its colours and contours in unique ways. In their work, they offer fresh and diverse perspectives, subtly hinting at a city's delights and mysteries; symbols and emblems; shades and nuances; burdens and trappings; relationships and contradictions.
The paintings in this exhibition are not just pretty pictures or empty slogans. They are little vignettes of and delicate commentaries on the perception of a city; each one presented with intimate feeling, contemplation and unpretentious understanding.
