Yonkers, NY (PressExposure) May 02, 2011 -- With Spring in full bloom, allergies are catching up with everyone. Laughter is the best medicine, and Empire City Casino at Yonkers Raceway will have plenty of it. Comedian Nick DiPaolo will perform on Wednesday, May 11th at 8 p.m. in the Good Time Room joined by fellow comedians Joe List and Chris "Jonesy" Jones on the bill.
Dubbed the comics comic by his contemporaries, Nick DiPaolo's range has allowed him to perform on shows as tame as The Tonight Show, yet as edgy as HBO's "Young Comedians Special," Late Night with David Letterman and Late Night with Conan O'Brien. The Boston native was twice nominated for an Emmy for his writing on The Chris Rock Show. He has also had three half hour stand up specials of his own on Comedy Central, was one of the stars on Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn and a stand out on many Comedy Central Roasts. Not limited to stand-up and writing, he has had guest starring roles on Lucky Louie, The Sopranos and many sitcoms as well as in films including Artie Lange's Beer League. His strong political opinions have been heard on FNC's Hannity, Red Eye, Fox and Friends as well as CNN's Joy Behar Show. His razor wit also allows him to sub for Dennis Miller as well as Dan Patrick. He is a favorite on both Howard Stern and Opie and Anthony and hosted his own show on New Yorks 92.3 Free FM.
Doors open at 7 p.m., and admission is free for all Empire Club Members. Non-members cover charge is $15.
Originally from Whitman, Massachusetts, Joe List is a New York City based comedian who performs regularly at many of the best clubs in Manhattan. List performed at the HBO Las Vegas Comedy Festival List and has appeared on Comedy Central's Live at Gotham.
Chris "Jonesy" Jones began telling jokes on the stages of comedy clubs in his hometown of Boston in the summer of 2002. He can currently be seen nightly on the stages of Gotham Comedy Club, Standup New York, and the Comic Strip Live. Jonesy's act can be described as a "clean, musical, high-energy extravagazna."
