Andrew Solutions, the CommScope, Inc. division that is a global leader in wireless communications systems and products, has been named In-Building Wireless Vendor of the Year in this year's Telecom Asia Readers' Choice Awards. The award was given based on nominations from a panel of more than 60 wireless industry analysts, consultants and service providers as part of an annual event recognizing the innovations and contributions to the industry of the top telecom vendors operating in Asia Pacific.

By implementing the Wired for Wireless Solution during the construction phase, customers reduce the installation and design costs of a wireless system, eliminate the need for costly and time-consuming radio frequency (RF) site surveys, and protect wireless performance inside the building from future changes to the outdoor network.
Also in 2010, CommScope's Andrew expanded its customer support for notable coverage and capacity projects in the Asia-Pacific region, including continued work on China's high speed railways, wiring up part of the forthcoming Taiyuan-Zhongwei-Yinchuan line, a digital train radio system for a metro network in Australia and a TETRA network for mission critical security operations to a major casino in Macau's Cotai Strip.
