This RFID tag is specially designed for asset tagging applications on metallic surfaces or plastics including high metal content such as found in laptops, IT equipment, vehicles and transport media.
The RFID tag, model 124018, boasts configurable settings including Site/Vendor ID, tag ID, transmission repetition interval and alarm functions. It is powered by an internal battery and transmits a Radio Frequency (RF) signal at a pre-set time-interval for the duration of its life. As it consumes little power, the tag life is estimated at 5 years at a transmission time interval of 1.5 seconds. This asset tag is encapsulated within a moulded plastic case for protection against adverse environmental conditions.
