Congress Supports Madoff Victims

Surprise, AZ (PressExposure) December 27, 2009 -- Madoff victims have spent months contacting their representatives in Washington, DC in an effort to let them know the impact the actions of the SIPC appointed Trustee, Irving Picard is having on them.

Mr. Picard's actions are inconsistent with prior SIPC cases and are not supported by the federally mandated statute created by Congress in 1970 to protect investors.

The Madoff victims have come together to form the Madoff Coalition for Investor Protection in order to find justice in this matter and to ensure that all American investors will have the true protection promised by SIPC.

The victims who attended the recent hearing were encouraged on numerous occasions by the questions and comments offered by the committee members, as was evident by the victims' audible applause.

Chairman Kanjorski was very tolerant, stating that he understood the emotional impact the issues have on the victims.
