Buyer Advisors Sheryl Eberhardt, CCTE- Corporate Travel Manager, Site Selection and Contracting, Premier Inc. Sheryl began with Premier in 1996 as an onsite agent. She was asked her to take on the Travel Management responsibilities for the company where she helped Premier create their travel policy, select their travel management partner, and implement an on-line booking tool, all while completing her CCTE. In 2005, she took over the company wide meeting site selection and contracting. She offered fresh perspective and found new ways to save on meeting spend. Sheryl is active in both MPI and NBTA. Kris Olson, Procurement Officer, Nissan North America Kris joined the Nissan North America team in 1992 in Southern California. In 2006 Kris moved with the company and went to work as a buyer in the Service and Support Purchasing department at Nissan North America new headquarters in Franklin, Tennessee. Kris holds a Bachelorâs degree in Communication from the Cal State Long Beach. Kris will coordinate the effort of 7 National offices in consolidating their meeting spend through one system, Convergere. Her tenure in the company as well as her industry experience will assist greatly with benchmarking compliance across multiple office sites.
Kelly Y., Video Game Industry Professional (Company Withheld) Kelly has been in the video game industry and with her current company for 12 years, working planning between five and ten events per year. Her events range from intimate advisory board meetings for 20 people, developers conferences for 500-700, and even large 1500 person parties. Kellyâs vast experience also allows her to manage her companyâs trade show presence and technical marketing activities for the companyâs group in the USA, Canada, and Latin America. Kellyâs unique perspective as a client working on multiple size events with intricate vendor needs will assist with Convergereâs next phase of expansion to include ancillary vendors for meetings and events.

She plans company day to day meetings, holiday parties, picnics, company-wide retreats, ownerâs retreats, conventions, conferences, celebrations, and more. Janeenâs attention to detail ensures her events all run smoothly. Tom McCarter, Certified Meeting Planner, David and Lucille Packard Foundation Tom McCarter, CMP has been a professional planner for 11 years, currently working for the David & Lucile Packard Foundation. He has been awarded the Rookie Planner of the Year and Meeting Professional of the Quarter awards by MPI, as well as a commendation from the Mayor of Los Angeles for his work on a showcase for handicapped actors. He was recently named President for a newly formed chapter of the Green Meetings Industry Council. Tomâs âgreen perspectiveâ will allow him to contribute to the Green Initiative of Convergere in the work of companies to go paperless in their site selection and find Green Venues for their meeting needs.
Supplier Advisors Connie Williams, Global Director of Sales, Omni Hotels Connieâs has over 20 years of experience in Senior Sales and Marketing positions with hotels. Connie is currently with Omni Hotels, as Global Sales Director for the Western Region. Prior to joining Omni, she was with Fairmont Hotels and Resorts where she was Director of Sales and Marketing for 10 years in Vancouver, Los Angeles, and Maui. She has a proven track record in sales, marketing, catering, conference services and public relations. Connie is a native Canadian who graduated from Mount Royal College with a Marketing Degree in addition to her certification in Hotel Sales and Marketing. Her global market experience makes her a valuable partner in the overseas hotel expansion of Convergere.
Kelly Commerford, CHME, Director of Marketing, Manchester Grand Hyatt Kelly is tasked with reaching leisure, transient and group business for one of the largest hotels in the Hyatt Chain. His sales and marketing history includes being the DOSM at the Hyatt Regency Bonaventure Conference Center & Spa in Weston, Florida, where he was responsible for their 2007 grand opening launch. During his time at the Bonaventure, the hotel earned 11 significant hotel and meeting-industry awards. Prior to Hyatt, he held executive positions with Dolce International, Benchmark Hospitality and Carlson's Radisson brand. He is a certified hotel marketing executive (CHME) and has earned numerous industry awards, including the 2005 IACC Award of Excellence in Education and two bronze Adrian Awards from HSMAI. His input into the development of the system has been invaluable.
Susan Hollers, Director of Sales and Marketing, Claremont Resort and Spa, Berkeley, CA As the Director of Sales and Marketing at the Claremont Resort and Spa, Susan is responsible for all top line revenue generation into the resort by facilitating all marketing and direct sales initiatives for transient and group rooms, Catering Revenue, F&B Outlets, and Spa Revenue. Susanâs years of experience and unique viewpoint as an independent hotelier will bring a much needed perspective to the tool when dealing with independent properties and their very specialized needs. Linda Nadeau, National Sales Director, San Diego Convention Visitors Bureau Linda has been in the tourism industry for more than 20 years, with her career starting after she received her bachelor degree in Tourism and Commercial Recreation from Arizona State University. Lindaâs experience has been in hotels sales, primarily with Marriott Hotels. She is currently the National Sales Director at the San Diego Convention and Visitors Bureau. Lindaâs input into how the system can incorporate the complimentary services of Convention and Visitorâs Bureaus across the nation will be invaluable to servicing that segment for both the bureaus and the clients who use them.
